Anthony Cobb is a Reverend, a Justice of the Peace and Chaplain for the Fraternal Order of Police. Brent Gardner at WBKR suggested I have Anthony on my show so that he could share his story of inspiration and hope. And, WOW….Anthony has had his share of trials and challenges!
Anthony shares his story of being stationed in the Army during the Gulf War in the early 90’s. During this time his health started giving him serious problems. He has gone through 11 amputations, over 200 skin grafts, losing his vision several times, kidney failure, dealing with an open wound for 7 years and yes…..much more!
The good news is, Anthony is alive and here to tell us how God sustained him through it all. Anthony is a survivor, but so much more, he is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus!
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Romans 8:35-37
Hear Anthony share his story on Shaped by Faith with Theresa Rowe. Tune in LIVE on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 AM on 99.1FM, WOMI Owensboro 1490 AM, or WGBF Evansville 1280 AM.
